Welcome to Mrs. Briones's 6th Grade ELA Class
My name is Marisol Briones. Teaching has always been my passion and I could not be happier to have the opportunity to have your child join me on this amazing new journey here at the new MIS! We will have an exciting year growing, learning and working together! I am looking forward to working with you all!
A little about me... This is my 2nd year teaching in Magnolia ISD. I taught Life Skills last year at MJH and loved it. I was a Paraprofessional for 9 years at M6 and I am so excited to be back with many teacher friends this year at MIS. Teaching ELA has always been my passion and I want every student to find a love for reading and to find success!
I am a wife and mother of three. I am a hometown girl, raised in Magnolia! I went to Magnolia Elementary, JL Lyons Elementary, Magnolia Jr. High and Magnolia High School, first graduating class from the then new high school in 2002! I attended Lone Star College in Tomball and then transferred to Sam Houston State University where I graduated with my Bachelors and was able to follow my heart to my teaching career.
In my off time I enjoy: reading, running, playing with my 2 year old and watching my 16 year old box. I love watching Criminal Minds (sometimes I think I could have been an under cover agent.) I also love spending time with family and friends.

Students really enjoy silent reading time, especially when they get to do it on the learning stairs!
