Welcome!

Hello! I am Mrs. Green and I am your 6th grade Social Studies teacher. I am originally from a small town in western Pennsylvania, just north of Pittsburgh. I graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in May 2014 with a degree in Education. I moved to Houston Labor Day weekend in 2014. I moved down here with my husband for career opportunities for both of us. We have quickly fallen in love with Houston and still live in the Houston area. In our free time we love to take our dog, Sophia, for walks in the park, travel, and hiking! This is my fifth year teaching in Magnolia ISD. I am very excited to get to know my students. We will have a fun, wonderful year!

On this page you can access my contact information, assignments, and announcements. I encourage you to sign up for my remind, so you can get immediate updates sent directly to your phone!

Verizon Users!! Remind Update

Teachers and Parents,
If you use Verizon Wireless as your cell phone provider, this message applies to you. Effective January 28, Remind will no longer be able to push text messages to Verizon users. What this means is you will have to set up your preferences to receive emails or push notifications through the Remind App.

Verizon is charging Remind an additional fee that makes it impossible for Remind to continue supporting text messaging on its network. As a result, Remind is forced to shut off the free Remind text messaging service for everyone who who has Verizon Wireless as their phone carrier beginning January 28.

To minimize service disruptions on the 28th, you can find instructions for enabling smartphone or email notifications here: How to change my message notifications

Don't worry, you will not be charged to use Remind through the app or your email!

Download the free Remind app on the iOS App Store, on Google Play, or at rmd.me/a. Make sure to enable push notifications from Remind on your phone.

Alternatively, you can enable email notifications: How to change my message notifications

Practice for Test.

I have sent a remind with the practice for test. If you would like your child to have the practice, send me an e-mail or message me through remind, and I will make sure they have a hard copy.

Remind information can be found on the "Contact" page.
